A highway construction company that lost out to another firm for a paving contract has sued the town for what it alleges was a "manipulated" bidding process.
Callanan Industries Inc. of Bethlehem claims that a contract for town road maintenance precludes competitive bidding because it calls for a new technology that only one regional company can provide, according to a lawsuit filed in state Supreme Court last month.
