Mar. 16--Krung Thai Bank executives insist that a 337-million-baht contract to establish the bank's new customer contact centre was signed with full transparency and in line with all procurement regulations.
The bank's union earlier this month had raised concerns about transparency in procurement contracts, and had urged management to improve disclosure and corporate governance ahead of the bank's planned privatisation later this year.
Sumitr Chaemprasit, an adviser to the KTB board, said senior executives planned to meet union representatives next week to clarify the bank's procurement procedures.
